Zaneira

The Tidelord over the faction known as the Abyssal Shades, Zaneira comes from the Seasilver Highlands in the land of Lethia and has had a long, rough history. She was formerly second in command to the previous Tidelord over the Shades, but this Tidelord became abusive to the warriors and acted like a tyrant. Zaneira led the Abyssal Shade warriors in a revolt against him, but was taken hostage by the tyrant in the process. She was tortured and eventually killed by him, but she was ascended by the Vala. Zaneira returned, killed the former Tidelord, and was made Tidelord by the Abyssal warriors. She has pulled the Abyssal Shades back together and treats them as if they were her family. By chance, she met Vincent Valentine when he stumbled into Lethia, and the two formed an unexplainable bond that quickly grew. Zaneira accepted Sephiroth as her own son when Vincent told her he was his biological father, and she is very protective of him, his siblings, and his love interest, Linwe. Zaneira was captured by the renegade split-off of Shin-Ra and tortured and experimented on by Hojo, but she managed to break free and conceal herself until Vincent found her, slaying many of the SOLDIERs that came looking for her. She is a very deadly warrior with excessive powers of water and ice. She is cruel as a ritualist, but is kind to her own. Extremely loyal. Her anger is like a typhoon, and her moods swell like the tides, but generally is patient. Most don't know her good side and think her a cold, ruthless warrior and ritualist. Mates with Vincent.
