Biography

Azure grew up alone in the Tsunami Flats, never once seeing outside influence. She grew up to be impassive, tough, and weathered for the world at large. Without any sort of connection to hold her back, she obsessed madly over the future, and eventually found the Scrying Workshop. This is where she learned how to gaze into her future, and Azure was instantly entranced. Her fate was endless, a shifting river of possibilities.

Her fate was an infinite exploration. With this in mind, Azure promptly took off without so much as a word and traveled the territories outside of the Tidelord's domain. She dove into the Tangled Wood, emerged from the Sunbeam Ruins, tore through the Shifting Expanse, all the way around the Sea of a Thousand Currents, all in vain efforts to gain complete control of her fate. She became so frenzied that, after so much time traveling, everything became a blur. Days were weeks, seconds, hours, years, all that mattered was what she saw in her visions.

And it was within her darkest spiral that she was finally brought to her senses. Azure opened her eyes to a Mirror, unexpectedly back within the TIdelord's waves. As it turns out, she had lost months, bordering on years, to her stupor. That was unacceptable. Azure readied herself to take flight again, determined not to mess up again.

The Mirror, determined not to see such a disturbing sight ever again, introduced himself as Sprout, intending to protect her. It was this small gesture that piqued Azure's interest, sparking the creation of Clockwise.

Years passed. Azure stayed her same impassive self, but she grew to understand social interaction and made some sizable attempts at the foreign activity herself. Sprout was her support system for when she focused too much on her and the Clan's future, and they lived happily in Clockwise for a very long time. She was very invested in the lives of her Clanmates, and did everything she could to provide adequate leadership.

And then, the cave systems of Clockwise crumbled. It was an emergency evacuation, forcing every inhabitant to scramble for their lives, lest they be suffocated. What remained of Clockwise was devastated, and no argument was had when Azure proposed a move to the Starfall Isle.

Azure grew more detached while in the Arcanist's domain. Nobody knew why, though many guessed it was because of the very reason Clockwise had to move. Tensions rose because of a few select causes. Many lost their unconditional faith after Clockwise was crippled, and started noticing the cracks between Azure's facade. It was a huge misunderstanding, really, since nobody directly inquired Azure about her past, so she saw no reason to tell of it. Over time, doubt began to spread like a plague. Distrust was rampant throughout the already confused and weak Clan, and it certainly didn't help recovery efforts.

Clockwise did eventually recover, and it was even able to return back to the Water Flight. On their journey back though, about half of Clockwise split and charted a course to the Windswept Plateau, naming themselves Cross in the process. Azure knew it was a possibility, and yet it hurt much more than she had ever predicted it would. The walls to her heart that were slowly breaking down had been cemented once more in a flash.

The icy bubble Clockwise now lives on is a constant reminder of the bitter cold inside of Azure, a continuous whisper of the loneliness left behind by her former kin.

"Unto you, child, my past is revealed, though it is irrelevant. We must strive for the future to see dreams and aspirations realized. Remember this always - a traitor is unforgivable."
