The world was upside down. At first. The ground was blue and the sky was green and all Borque wanted to do was lay on his back in the muddy patch in the shade of the great tree, paddling his legs in the big blue expanse above him like an upended Greatshell. He knew he was being ridiculous, that he was acting like a hatchling pretending to swim in the sky when he could simply fly up there or hop in the pond nearby. He stilled and soon a peculiar feeling tickled the back of his mind, like warm breath whispering too close, something that tugged him to his feet and heightened his senses. The source of the call was nearby, he could feel it. He crouched in the tall grass and let his feelings stretch across the meadow around him, skimming over cool ponds, winding through flowers taller than even he, floating like the pollen in the wind. This was strange, he knew all of the sudden. Something told him his brothers and sisters from the great tree couldn't do this, couldn't sense with their minds like this. Adjusting his shoulders and letting his wings tuck to his sides, Borque remained still in meadow as the shadows of Nature lengthened, waiting until he felt her: the one who called. Then she was there, peaceful like a flower curled up for the night. He wasted no time seeking her out in the dark and laid down next to her, feeling her relax even further as he settled in to sleep. And the first thing he saw when he opened his eyes was hers, and something snapped into place. He found his Charge, and nothing would get in between him and Iemyria, not if he could help it.

Borque is Iemyria's right hand dragon. He's her shadow, her soldier, her rock. What he lacks in knowledge, he makes up for in unyielding loyalty. He has found his purpose in ensuring her satisfaction; he provides support, he sustains the clan, he gives her hatchlings like many before him have, who serve a greater purpose than they may ever know.
