History
Coming from a colorful family, Iris' bright colors weren't cause for surprise in his homeland. It was when he started magicking up rainbow stars instead of blue runes that dragons started saying he was different. He found the Southern Icefield incredibly borning; everything was either white, grey, brown, or green! There was especially too much white for his liking. The pale landscape seemed drained and ugly to him and he quickly left with his sister Iridessa.
From his readings he knew that he wanted to settle either in the Viridian Labyrinth or the Sea of a Thousand Currents. Iris found himself enamored by the Sea when he got there. The multitudes of colorful sea life astounded him and deep in his heart he knew he had found his home. Iridessa continued her journey, unsatisfied, until she found her place in a clan of the Shifting Expanse. Iris had found himself welcomed with open arms by Serakem and the rest of her clan, which further cemented his desire to stay with them. He settled quickly in the caves and began his training immediately. He was eager to add his own magic to the barrier that kept them safe.
He's a very loud dragon off the battlefield, both in color and mannerism. There's always a laugh on his lips and his mood is eternally cheerful. He loves showing off his rainbow stars to the hatchlings to entertain them. Though he can be a little oblivious to social cues and unnecessarily loud most of the time, everyone agrees he's a fitting addition to their weird little family. His colors also make him a handy beacon in training and battle and he's on multiple occasions found himself to be a rallying point. He uses this to his advantage and isn't afraid to throw himself into the fray to surprise and distract attackers.
Iris fell in love with Paderau the moment he laid eyes on her, but for now he's (surprisingly) too shy to make a move.
