History
Vetinari is considered to be even more of a tree than Nymph is. The Imperial was an ambassador to Nature in his previous clan and earned the Naturalist Adornments and Leafy Gladeboughs he carries. The Nature magic there warped him too, so the boughs fused with his shoulders, his life lengthened, and his troubles seemed to melt away.

After all, what is a mere argument to a tree?

He spends his time on the forest terrace of the lair, taking care of the flora and fauna there along with Nymph. He doesn't go inside the caves at all, even to sleep. At night he curls around the trunk of the largest tree in their little underwater glade, the Beacon, keeping watch over everything. Animals are drawn to him and his constant companions are a spider, three birds, a tree python, and a frog- for now. He's sure more creatures will make their home on his hide, but he doesn't mind that at all. He would fight tooth and nail to protect each and every one of them.

Though he's not technically a mage, the Nature magic residing within him oozes naturally into the barrier to help support it. Vetinari can also afford to give much more of his magical energy since he doesn't exert too much for other purposes like travelling or training.
