______ Being the firstborn is never easy, and being the firstborn of two dragons created, not born, is even harder. Tyranus' mother, Valmera, was created by residual magic leftover from a great battle, formed of shadow with a core of light. His father, Tamanous, was created by the Flamecaller but stolen by the Shadowbinder before he was complete, forming him into a tar-covered abomination that few interact with. Both hold power deep within, making the air hum around then, and Tyranus is very aware of the power that runs through his veins. He's taken his heritage very seriously and presents himself as near-royalty, standing and speaking with absolute grace, confidence, and authority.

______ Tyranus is a natural-born leader, good at convincing dragons to follow him and making difficult decisions quickly. He's known to be just and fair when times call for it but when challenged he will cut down his opponents ruthlessly. He dislikes following others but will if it's where he feels he is best suited to be. If he thinks his leader is unfit for their position, he will challenge them for leadership and is willing to fight if need be. Tyranus is not a dragon who is easily charmed or intimidated out of doing something and his will is stronger than anything else. He won't tolerate disobedience from subordinates and makes this clear in threats of both physical strength and his extreme magical power.

______ Tyranus is a powerful mage, just like his mother, and considers himself fortunate to have escaped inheriting his father's tar-secreting genes, for the most part. He does secrete tar from his scales, but much less and at a much slower pace. He washes his entire body every six to twelve hours to keep himself clean and most dragons don't even know of his affliction.
