______ Valmera was found as a juvenile dragon wandering alone in the Shifting Expanse, her egg apparently abandoned and her parents nowhere to be found. She didn't seem to be in need of help and almost didn't accept Klaeod's offer to join the clan, but when she was assured that she would never be hungry again, she followed him home and never left. She rarely speaks to anyone unless she has good reason to and is suspected of all sorts of crimes by members of the clan, but she ignores them for the most part. She doesn't lash out at other dragons unless they physically attack her, at which point they'll discover the raw power that Valmera holds within, ready to be unleashed the moment it's needed.

______ Valmera's magical power goes unrivaled in the clan, even by Kyverok. She rarely uses her magic for anything relating to the clan at large, however, and stays out of combat, so she is not considered the primary mage of the clan. The silver runes covering her scales attest to the number of spells she's wreathed around herself and imbued within her very body, making her almost more magic than dragon. Most of her spells she doesn't dare cast on anyone but herself, as few dragons are equipped to handle the amount of energy she puts into every incantation.

______ Valmera will occasionally do odd or mystifying things that are impossible to understand or to get her to talk about until they're suddenly relevant and potentially lifesaving. For example, she once put a spell around Kalkrox with no explanation, creating runes on his scales almost causing him to start a fight with her, but later that day one of Kyverok's spells went wrong and hit him. Valmera's earlier spell countered the certain death that had rocketed towards Kalkrox, saving his life and earning his gratitude and respect. She refuses to work together with anyone else towards magical goals and won't tell anyone how she does any of her spells, preferring to remain silent and retreat to her cave. Many say that she does nothing useful for the clan, but Klaeod knows that without her, they'd be lost.

______ Valmera is a powerful seer as well as an unrivaled mage, occasionally giving Klaeod advice about paths to take in the future and acting to prevent certain otherwise unforeseeable events. Few know of this ability, and even fewer fully believe her. Valmera believes that she was gifted this power as she is a perfect balance between light and shadow, bound in magic and formed by powers unknown. She had no parents, and she believes that her egg was created by residual magic left over from a great battle between mages. She wandered to the Shifting Expanse from the Sunbeam Ruins shortly after hatching, leading to her eventual discovery by Klaeod.

______ Since few try to speak to Valmera and even fewer get responses from her, she has few close relationships with other members of the clan. She and Klaeod have a strong working relationship, but they don't consider each other friends. She occasionally will ghost up next to Vazavious and quietly discuss the stars and constellations with him, mostly pertaining to their affect on magic, but she doesn't seem to be any more friendly towards him than the other mages in the clan. It seems that her only friend is Tamanous, a dragon created by the Flamecaller and changed by the Shadowbinder, marked a monster by all of dragonkind and a scientific specimen by the Stormcatcher. They can often be found sitting quietly together- usually in the company of Shonaox, who has taken Tamanous as her charge- or quietly discussing the clan and life in the Shifting Expanse, although Valmera's quiet nature and Tamanous' struggles in speaking make this uncommon and difficult. Their eventual status as mates has made Shonaox warm up to her.
