Gaolers, originally of the Southern Icefields, are the jailers and protectors of the Icewarden. It only makes sense that many have decided to venture out into the rest of Sornieth, protecting the various clans.

The Milky Tea Patisserie has such protectors. They patrol the borders of the café, guarding it from the threatening Dream Eaters. They seem to have a sixth sense for these Coatls, being able to sense when one is nearby an acting accordingly.

Rumor has it that they have taken a Dream Eater prisoner, as a warning. It is unknown if this is true, even amongst the rest of the café, but the rumor itself does get the job done: Few Dream Eaters have bothered the Patisserie since the arrival of these imposing dragons.

You enter the café, tired and worn from your journey across the Boneyard. A Gaoler stares at you, piercing eyes watching your every move. You freeze. It seems to be judging you, figuring out whether or not you are trustworthy.

A voice sounds from the counter. “Don’t worry about them,” says a Coatl, its pink and white wings fluttering gently. “They are just protecting us. You’ll be safe with them around.”
