Gloomspike and her sister (currently named Bluesky) are a pair of rough-and-tumble Wildclaws. They squabble constantly with each other, and -- until he wound up in another lair -- their older brother. They are oblivious to how much their aggressive play causes other dragons to be a little wary of them -- after all, most of the other Wildclaws are just fine with little ones grabbing onto their tails and hanging on and kicking! It's how hatchlings learn how to play!

As adolescents, a third of their probable adult size, the pair still play rough, tackling each other -- and any other dragon who gets too close when they're on a tear. They don't break the skin deliberately, but the gawky, gangly, clumsy-with-growth Wildclaws are a bit much... for anyone who's not a Wildclaw or Ridgeback or Mirror, anyway.
They still don't mean to be mean, and while they play-fight to win, they don't gloat too much and don't hold grudges when a Ridgeback slams them to the ground and holds them there for a few minutes. It's all in good sport! Andromeda is trying to train them to go hunting for the clan or battling in the Coliseum, and Gloomspike has taken to this eagerly. The chance to come leaping out of the undergrowth at twilight, on top of some prey or other? BEST FUN! |
