Well before Solthi's Haven existed, Zasshiki crashed into the Molten Scourge after a scrape with a harpy tore up her right wing. Severely injured from the impact, she found herself being cared for by Solthi, and "I'll stay until I'm healed" quickly turned into "I'll stay as long as you'll let me stick around." Imitating the way Solthi cared for Ahtcha, she soon acquired a fae to dote on herself -- Ketsel.

She traveled with Solthi to the Emberglow Hearth and helped create the lair that would serve as the site of the Haven. However, try as she might to imitate Solthi's ways, she found that tending to others didn't come naturally. Instead she set about defending the small clan from enemies and gathering food and other supplies.
