Biography
The Ruined city
You stumbled into the city by mistake. Was it curiosity that drew you into the maze of half broken walls and shattered columns? Boredom maybe? Or perhaps, the fearless pull of adventure.
Whatever it was, your expectations were tame but not without caution. A small, glistening piece of colored glass, a half crushed skeleton, these you expected and as you ventured further in, you also expected some form of resistance from the wildlife fighting to reclaim the grandiose landscape.
Instead, you were met with silence. The eerie, ominous kind that made you feel all the more on edge. But as you pushed on, the landscape too shifted, it's wilderness studied, crumbling and leaning into itself just the same but somehow... rearranged. Like someone, something had moved the blocks just enough to keep them out of its way while still keeping the appearance of desolation.
But your eyes were good, and your guard up. Perhaps reckless, you ventured further in.
Now, you were sure that you were being watched. There were shadows, but while your pace slowed down, they made no move to approach. You felt like unspoken, you have been granted passage. You pressed on then, the fact that this could have been a trap crossing you only as you the busling image of the city revealed to you.
There were... coatls. Quite a few of them, you realised as they finally noticed, approached and then clamored around you.
They were definitely excited. Not many newcomers they said, and whether you wanted or not, you were taken on a tour of their small but peculiar settlement.
