Biography

Theme Song: Ice Girl

Once a very brave and arrogant little fluffball from the Southern Icefield. She had the most magnificent and ultra plush winter coat out of all her peers. She was so sure of herself and her luxurious fur that she bragged constantly about how she could face the bitterest of cold without so much as a sniffle. The other youngsters rolled their eyes and challenged her to prove herself by braving The Fortress of Ends. They never thought she would actually do it.

Young, stubborn and full of herself, she set out to explore the labyrinthine Fortress of Ends. With every intent to bring back some wondrous treasure to prove how absolutely amazing and perfect she was. Fearlessly she trudged through the snow even as the sting of ice nipped at her toes. She marched on and on and became hopelessly lost. The hoarfrost was already creeping up her legs and weighing down her tail which she normally held high. She began to panic.

The foolish little dragon ran until her legs gave out and she collapsed in the hardened snow. Her cries for help where drowned out in the fierce howling winds. She hadn't even yet reached the fortress. Would Reclaimer's Glacier really live up to it's name? She lie there motionless for a long time and only in the gloom of the darkening sky could she see a faint glow. With her hopes lifted she dragged herself back onto her feet and made her way towards the pale light. It lead her to a large hollowed tree that looked alive, yet was coated with a thick layer of ice and huge icicles hung from the branches. The glow seemed to be emanating from a cluster of blue crystals at the center of the hollow. Smaller crystals were scattered along the bark throughout the inside and the light felt comforting, even familiar somehow.

She crawled inside and wrapped herself around the large cluster and slowly drifted off to sleep. Unfortunately, the tree was cursed by the crystals that sprouted from within. While the tree offered her shelter, the crystals afflicted her with the curse. As she lay in a comatose state for an unknown amount of time, she was slowly consumed by the crystals. The tree used it's last bit of life to protect her from death, which lead to it fusing with both her body and the crystals.

When the little dragon awoke from her long slumber, she broke away from the crystals and shook herself off. Tufts of her fur fell away, but she didn't think much of it at first. Maybe it was shedding season. She climbed out from the hollow of the tree and stretched in the bit of morning sun peeking through the clouds. She looked back to see that the tree was now completely withered and the crystals were no longer glowing. How long had she been asleep she wondered.

It wasn't until she took her first few steps that she realized something was wrong. Her feet were darkened and void of fur. She rushed over to a pillar of translucent ice to see her reflection. What she saw chilled her straight to the bone. She was horrendously transformed! Her beautiful face was unrecognizable, a mere skull with a set of terrified eyes peering out. As she moved, more and more of her fur fell away and revealed gnarled limbs resembling tree roots. And there, at the front of her chest where her heart should be, was a glowing mass of icy crystals.

Horrified she fled, never stopping to look back, not even as she passed by her old home. If anyone was still there she didn't care to find out. She was sick of the ice and the cold and the monstrous visage that stared back at her from her reflection. She reached the Frigid Floes, but on her way to the Starfall Isles she got caught up in a strong wind from the Windswept Plateau. It sucked her in and drew her far off course, dragging her well beyond Wind territory. It carried her over the Sea of a Thousand Currents and brought her to the Tangled Wood. There she got caught in the thick brambles and finally came crashing to the ground.

Exhausted and with her wings hopelessly tattered she collapsed upon the outskirts of the Wolf Tears clan. There she was discovered by one of the clan's scouts and brought to their lair and treated by the healers to the best of their abilities. They were surprisingly welcoming and some were just as vain and haughty as she once was. Not many seemed to mind her appearance, in fact there were some dragons even more grotesquely disfigured than she. Tangled Wood was lovely and offered a dark refuge for her to contemplate her strange new "afterlife".

It didn't take long for her to settle right in with the clan and she was put to work as a gatherer, which took some getting used to, but she now finds oddly rewarding. Her days of vanity and arrogance are gone and she now scuttles around meekly, trying to stay out of the way and make herself useful when she can. She hopes to find a new purpose someday and possibly repay the awkward kindness of her new clan.
