Lyneth

Lyneth was born with a horrible disease which causes the outer layer of her skin to slowly decay and eventually fall off, leaving her a mass of unprotected muscle. She wraps her entire body in maroon wraps in order to hold her skin on her body. This disease is not infectious so other dragons need not fear holding her same fate. However dragons still tend to avoid Lyneth due to the disgusting scent of rotting flesh which comes from her body. She is despirate to find a cure for this disease. So far, not even Phlogiston was capable of stopping her horrible infection. Due to her rotting skin, a Corpse Cleaner started following her around, believing her to be dead. It is often seen picking the dead flesh from her body. Lyneth at first threw the Corpse Cleaner off of her body, but the creature continuously returned enough that she has grown used to it crawling around her body, and even allows it to pick the more gangrenous flesh from her body. Strangely enough, the Corpse cleaner seems to be acting as a sort of treatment and Lyneth's skin is starting to remain on her body. It secretes a black substance similar to tar, which fuses to her body and allows her skin to remain intact. So even though Lyneth looks as if she has crackle, it is really just the Corpse cleaner's secretion holding her skin to her body.

As a dragon, Lyneth has a subdued, rather quiet personality. This is because most other dragons wont even speak to her, and run at the very sight of her. She keeps still and silent in hopes that they might return and she wont feel so alone.

Lyneth only recently became a larger part of the clan when a Spiral named Machla decided to ask her to join him. Talking together for several weeks, Machla confessed he had an interest in her. Since Lyneth had only been with a few dragons before as a passing fling, she was not certain what to do, and has been skirting the idea of a relationship ever since. She is afraid Machla will wake up one day and decide the scent of rotting flesh that comes from her body is too much. Because of this she is afraid to admit she likes Machla as much as she does.

After Machla gened and dressed himself similarly to her, Lyneth agreed to have an egg with him. She was proud of her single egg, having not wanted a big family. However, she grew upset when the egg hatched and had her same disease. From this Machla and herself discovered that the disease Lyneth carries is actually genetic. She no longer wishes to bring any more children into this world considering how the child she had gained her disease and the social stigma that comes with it.

My skin rots and falls to the ground each day, yet he still is there to greet me with a smile on his face.. do i really deserve him?
