Ikeya

When he was first found as a hatchling
Ikeya was with his mom, watching carefully as she stalked a large Elk. His tail twitched in excitement, accidentally brushing against a pile of leaves and alerting the elk to their presence. His mother had just enough time to shoot him a quick glare before dashing into the farrago of leaves where the elk had disappeared. Ikeya hesitated before following after her, pushing his way through the brush and struggling to hop over the thick roots which littered the ground. After a few minutes of running and still no sign of his mom, he began to panic, but at least it was easy to follow her trail. Once she was on a prey's tail, she was ruthless and powered through anything to get to it, and she probably didn't notice that she actually went running straight through the moor of lightning dragon territory and into Light Dragon territory.

He made his way towards an open field, and what he saw made his heart tighten and his pulse quicken. His poor mother was lying on what used to be green grass. The ground around her was drenched in her blood, and her eyes were wide open, staring blankly back at him. There was a shadow serpent hovering over what was left of her body. Ikeya let loose an earth-shattering scream. He screamed and screamed until his lungs felt like they would burst. The serpent couldn't see him behind the bush, so it got scared by the sudden noise and scurried off.

Ikeya felt his eyes roll in the back of his head and then he collapsed to the ground, knocked out. When he woke up again he found himself surrounded by bright, warm scales. for a second he thought it was his mother, but then he realized that the scales were the color of the sun and everything that happened came rushing back to him. He opened his mouth let out a desperate squeak, but nothing came out. He tried again and again, but no noise... Scared, he struggled to get out of the large dragon's embrace, only to run into another body. This one was much darker and had less warmth to it.

Long story short~~ Noved and Jow adopted him. And Ikeya has been trying to get over his constant nightmares by staying in Noved's loving presence. He's also grown quite fond of their son, Shimmer. He gives off the same warmth as his mother, but he's not as overly loving all the time.
