Bazula

When she was first found as a hatchling
Bazula was first born into another clan. Once she was old enough to walk she was sent to an auction. She had quite a number of people show interest in her, but as she was picked up for the fifth time, her patience grew thin and she snapped at the unlucky human's face. her tiny teeth clamping down onto their sensitive nose. The human's hands released her immediately, and she fell to the ground hard enough that a slight whimper fell from her lips. The human ran, howling in pain, which scared off the other humans as well.

She was alone.

But then, after a while, a human and another dragon started walking towards her. Other humans tried to warn them away, saying that Bazula was too rough and wild to keep, but the human shrugged and kept walking forward until they stood before the small creature. Bazula looked up and then shrunk away when the human, Minsra, bent down to look her in the eye. She growled when hands went towards her, but then she stopped when she heard the older dragon hiss a small warning. She begrudgingly let the human pick her up and then blinked in surprise when she was placed on the older dragon's large back.

Up close the scales seem to glow as if sunlight was trapped within their depths. Bazula could only smile at the warm feeling she got from this dragon. Noved was the dragon's name--and she would always be the light in Bazula's darkness.

Sometimes she feels like an outcast because she is a lightning dragon, but that doesn't deter her from proving herself worthy of being chosen into the family.
