Backstory:
Riannon came from a Water clan originally. Her father was the leader of her clan. She and her two clutchmates were to be sold in the auction house, and she was last to be sold. Faillon went to a Light clan and Palan to a Shadow one. While in the auction house waiting to be sold, she became close friends with Duskshadow, a Plague Pearlcatcher slightly younger than her. They were soon inseparable and Blade decided to buy them both.

When they got to the clan, Riannon burrowed them a cave in the wall of the lair. It originally had a small tunnel to a slightly larger cave, but as they grew, Riannon had a lot of fun digging it larger.

She was trained to fight by Abraxis, who had only a little more training than her and was therefore closest to her ability level. Even if they are not friends, they make good battle partners.

Combat:
Riannon is a deadly fighter- she is strong, fast, and agile, dealing lots of damage quickly in an attempt to win the fight before her weak defense and constitution get her knocked out. She will get in close, slash her enemy with her claws, and retreat before she can be attacked. Fights for her are quick, bloody skirmishes and she doesn't do as well in long, drawn-out battles. She likes patrolling the border and challenging trespassers, and will drive off intruders with swinging spines.

Personality + Hobbies:
She does not talk much, but this is only because she rarely sees the need to. She is slightly paranoid that she is being insulted, and if she has any reason to think that someone is making fun of her she will lash out with her sharp wit. Her insults are legendary and she has very imaginative suggestions for what her presumed enemy could be doing right then. Many involve lemon juice and parchment-cuts. She likes to appear fierce and her most hated insults are ones that refer to the fact that she was not born a Wind dragon- not because she dislikes the Water flight, but because it calls her loyalty into question. She was intelligent enough to become a caster, but she hates the thought of 'hiding' behind her allies instead of being in the front lines with her wicked spikes, carving up enemies.

She is friends with Duskshadow, a bond that comes from their early days in the auction house. Riannon is the fiercer one, and Duskshadow calms her down. Riannon will defend Duskshadow against enemies or bullies, and they are often found curled up together, albeit carefully so Riannon doesn’t shred her by mistake.

Riannon also occasionally has visions of the future, being a Water dragon, but without training these visions are short, vague, and indistinct. They also usually occur while she’s asleep and are dismissed as dreams. She will occasionally have a vision in battle that allows her to see what an opponent will do a few seconds in advance, an advantage she exploits as much as possible.

She enjoys digging, and takes on the majority of excavation tasks in the lair, expanding the storage caves and adding new lairs. She enjoys making the tunnels mazelike, so that only a Galerider dragon can find their way around, and then only because of practice. She adds loops and tunnels large enough for the biggest dragons. She adds places like jungle gyms tunneled through the rock, places were jumps or short hops are necessary, and one area absolutely full of winding passages that hatchlings like to play Hunter and Prey in. She is responsible for the size and intricacy of the original lair. One of her pet peeves is Sylph’s narrow tunnels that undermine the strength of her constructions. When she tunnels too close and puts her foot through the floor, you can hear her cursing from anywhere in the lair.

She likes to climb the cliff faces, often jumping from ledge to ledge and experimenting by trying to climb while upside-down. She also has found a small but deep diving pool and will leap off the cliff-face and into it. She relaxes by sitting on spires late at night with her lure glowing while the clan’s Fae dragons swirl around her, catching insects that are attracted.
