Biography

BRIGHTWING
The Disaster Magnet

Clan Role: Forager
Mate: none
Pronouns: he/him
Bio: With two parents as well versed in plants as they are, it was only natural Brightwing try to learn a similar trade. However, as he grew, though his knowledge of plants continued to expand, two things became quickly apparent. First, he was fairly lazy, preferring to nap and goof off than actually do any work. Secondly, no matter how hard he tried to avoid it, trouble always seemed to find him. Normally tame familiars would suddenly bite him on the leg. Traversing ground that had been stable footing for his companion, Brightwing would somehow manage to find the one soft spot and get his foot stuck. A cave wall that had held up for years with no issue would suddenly collapse when Brightwing leaned on it. It got so bad that other dragons began to make excuses not to be in a foraging party with him, despite the fact that Brightwing was good at identifying edible plants.

He was mostly raised by his father, Seymour, as his mother wasn't around as much and wasn't an official part of Clan Mimsy. His father was never a very good disciplinarian, his meek nature making him likely to not fight Brightwing on whatever he wanted to do. A lot of dragons blame Seymour for how lackadaisical Brightwing is, but others say maybe it's his defense against the bad luck that seems to stick as close to him as his own shadow. Brightwing's best friend is Jude, the one dragon chill enough to take the walking disaster zone in stride and still want to hang out with him. The two spend many afternoons weaving flower crowns and rolling around in meadows together, even if Brightwing always manages to find the flowers with bees in them.
