Bio: Solstice is a dragon from an ancient order known as the Dream Warriors, dragons who have trained themselves to travel between the physical world and the twisting labyrinths of the world beyond. Realms of thought, dreams, mirrored not-quite-realities, these are the places that to Solstice, are just as real as his own two wings. He can travel to these other realms in one of two main ways: through mirrors, or through the dream of a sleeping dragon, provided they give him a talisman to hold.

While many of his order never leave their sanctuaries and centers of power, Solstice is a wandering mercenary, helping ordinary clans and individual dragons to combat those threats that they cannot see, and sometimes cannot even fathom. He prevents beings from other realities from sneaking their way into this one, and he also fights the Shade and the entities of it. Solstice, like many of his order, believes that the Shade is actually a power from a dark dimension that sometimes trickles into reality through the seams and cracks. Though there isn't much Shade left in Sornieth, it could at any time gain a new foothold if more snuck in. Solstice does his part to combat this, and also to heal Shade-touched dragons by burning the dark influence out of them. Yes, it is quite as painful as it sounds.

To actually make his coin, Solstice offers services for banishing persistent nightmares. He can travel into the dreams of dragons and turn their terrifying dreams into pleasant ones, acting as a shining fire against the darkness in whatever form it may take. Part of the reason he is traveling is his Search, which he has never quite managed to complete. Deep down, he fears what his Charge may end up being.

Solstice's constant companion is Malkin, a being from the mirror dimension who can flit in and out of reality even more readily than he can. She acts as his scout, scoping out the best paths to take and sniffing for potential Shade influence. In the Borogrove, the strong magical energies in the air naturally make the barriers between realities a bit...more fluid than normal, which makes it a good place for Solstice to do his work.
