Biography
In the fighting pits friends turn to rivals, and rivals to friends.
So it was that Fendrel was betrayed by his own brother and protected by Ajani, his sworn enemy. Broken, beaten, he had no hope- until Ajani saw what was happening and placed himself before the young Guardian.
No one dared to challenge Ajani.
When Ajani won his freedom, his chosen boon was Fendrel's freedom.
Fendrel considers himself timid, but the strength required to survive the fighting pits is a great deal more than was needed to survive the world. He doesn't seek fights, but it's hard to see that when his first intinct is to defend himelf.
He has found common ground with Xylandra, who was accustomed to challenges from every side, and has the same scars and reflexes, and is trying to learn what peace and freedom are.
He has fallen in love with Mara, her mischevious spirit and zest for life bringing the spark that he thought extinguished long ago back.
