He shifted towards you and out of the dimly lit corner of the room. He kicked up some dust and it hung in the beams of light like it was drowning while reaching upwards for air.

"i know the truth. do you want to know what it is? swarms of locust. lands that never see light again. sands that swallow you alive as you bake in the sun. antediluvian ideas of sacrifice we need not follow. why do we do this? we're not fighting for anything but blood. there's too much pain. the suffering those dragons know is nothing i would ever wish upon anybody. the lightweaver craves power. she will do anything to find the truth and claim influence over the world. thats her truth. she knows everything and we know so little. shes always there."

He carried his mighty body even further into the light. Beautiful gold filigree armor glistened through the low visibility and peaking through the armor were a myriad of bubbling scars. The eye on his left side had no colour and could no longer see. A look behind the guardian revealed an intimate cot and a painting smashed against the stone walls. Inside the frame was an old depiction of the lightweaver with a halo behind her and rays of sunlight engulfing the rest of the scene. The painting was torn and appeared to be deliberately destroyed.
