Biography

As head alchemist, founder and leader of the scientific research institute, and a major pillar of the clan's defense, Adagio is a very busy dragon. When not using his skill in transmutation to eliminate threats or acquire new territories, he can usually be found crafting elixirs in one of his many laboratories. His title of Master Scientist means that, in theory, he is responsible for the oversight of all experimentation and innovation done by the scientists and engineers of the research institute. In practice, Adagio has far too much on his plate to keep that chaos under control, so he mostly lets them do whatever they wish and only gets involved to clean up particularly large messes that would upset the Court. Or when a botany lab is swallowed into the void.

Despite his hands-off approach, Adagio is always pleased to receive questions from those who can find him. Knowledge itself is the highest form of magic, and he is honored by the opportunity to provide it.

Questions regarding where his many gold adornments came from, however, may be best left unanswered.

History:

He is among the oldest in the clan, and was raised among the highest nobility of the Magician's Court. At the time, the Court had strict views on what could be considered "true" magic - and the unpredictable, often messy experimentation involved in the alchemical arts certainly did not qualify. Nevertheless, Adagio found himself drawn to the discipline, and spent every private moment studying what scrolls he could find sequestered within the shelves of the Ouroboros Tower. Perhaps the Tower sensed his need, because many writings not seen for an age found their way into his claws. As Adagio grew in age and knowledge, he began to carry out his own alchemical experiments.
