Grimoire
The Necromancer
Clan Matriarch
Status:
Alive

Manipulative | Power-Hungry | Intelligent | Polite

Once upon a time, a long time ago, Grimoire served a different God - the Gladekeeper. But the laws of Nature never suited her. Grimoire always felt like an outsider, someone who did not belong. At a young age, Grimoire developed a fascination with black magic. She bought up every spell scroll and magic tome that she could get her claws on. Her obsession was all-encompassing. She spent days locked in her library, pouring over her various texts. Her search for knowledge and power lead her into dark places. She would sacrifice blood and flesh to dangerous beings in exchange for stronger and stronger magic. The other Nature dragons looked down on Grimoire's dark fixations. They knew that her work flew in the face of Nature's laws. Grimoire, who always flouted the Natural Order, grew resentful toward her flight. She could not flex the limit of her ability while residing under the Gladekeeper's wing. And so, taking only the most valuable of her tomes, she fled to the Scarred Wasteland.

And thus the Necromancer was born. Grimoire's twisted magic found a home in the Abiding Boneyard, far from her birthplace in the Gladekeeper's forests. Here, she was free to flex her abilities on a number of disturbing experiments. No one was strong enough to stop her. Piece by piece, she has been building an army of terrible flesh-constructs and wayward, cursed beasts. What is her purpose? None other than to grow in power, stretching the boundaries of magic and morality. Grimoire forges on, creating more and more deformed monstrosities to do her bidding.

Her undead horrors serve her with great loyalty and ferocity. Grimoire's good manners hide a callous and cruel spirit. She sees other dragons as a means to increase her powers and nothing else. She and her five Acolytes rule the Workshop like kings, subjecting all the other dragons to their will.
