Apollo

Despite his icy heritage, Apollo views himself as a warm entity that provides light and guidance to those who are enlightened by his presence. Despite his nest being in The Southern Icefield, Apollo’s first memories are from Mirrorlight Promenade within Sunbeam Ruins, running alongside other coatls. Taking off and learning to fly alongside his foster siblings and friends. One day, while he was playing with these hatchlings, they stumbled across an old temple that depicted a legion of demi deities following in the footsteps of the Lightweaver. One of the hatchlings remarked that the demi deities resembled Apollo as he too had a golden body.

Apollo then spent days going to and from the temple, copying the figures in the paintings, posing as them, worshiping them. He grew distant from those who had called him brother and friend, his sole purpose now to not only to be like these demi deities, but to become one. Just before he reached adulthood, Apollo finally did it. Or at least, that’s what he believes.

While practicing one of the flight maneuvers strewn across a cracked wall, Apollo flew under a hole in the ceiling just as a ray of light shined down. When this moment happened, the coalt’s wing sparkled. Upon noticing this, Apollo stopped and marveled at the beauty of it. As the ray of light moved across the floor, it finally hit the mural and the demi deities too began to sparkle. It was this moment that Apollo truly believed he had achieved his dream. He flaunted this to his clan and bragged how he was chosen by the Lightweaver himself to ascend to greatness of the likes their peasant minds could never hope to perceive. This wasn’t met with the warmest of welcomes and resulted in him leaving. He travelled across the Sunbeam Ruins, telling everyone that would listen and wouldn’t about his ascension to godhood. As a result, he was chased out of the Lightweaver’s realm into the Shifting Expanse where he stumbled across a small clan that offered him temporary refuge while he figured out his next move.
