B I O G R A P H Y

Haki was raised to be a scholar, to follow in his parent's footsteps. They had a plan; raise him to be a scholarly Dragon, find him an acceptable mate, and step back and let them produce many, many hatchlings. When growing up, Haki had agreed-that did seem the best course of action for a good, decent life in the Light Realm.

But a chance meeting with a Wind Tundra named Brandeau changed everything. Brandeau willingly did reckless things in the name of finding interesting things, ignored perfectly good advice, made everything unnecessarily complicated, was completely unorthodox, and was far more attractive than he had any right to be.

Soon Haki began to question how he was raised. He didn't really enjoy research, he just did it because his family had insisted. He didn't like female Dragons, he had just agreed to find one to satisfy his family. While in this existential crisis, Haki realized he had no idea who he was, or what he actually enjoyed. But during an awry adventure with his Tundra that devolved into Haki fighting for both their lives, he realized he was far more interested in fighting and adventuring than the more scholarly pursuits.

His parent's begged him to stay, but he knew that if he wanted to be happy, he would have to leave. From there he and the Tundra wandered through the Sunbeam Ruins, until they came upon a small, disgraced Shadow Clan just beginning to set themselves up in the strange new Realm they had found themselves in. Haki decided to stay with them as a guard, and his mate followed.
