THE WING-WEAVER

Place of Origin: The Mirrorlight Promenade
Mate: Augustus
Backstory: Aranga grew up within the bright pillars of the mirrorlight promenade. She always found herself jealous of the illuminated and soft plumage many skydancers around her had, especially since her scales boasted only dull colors and leathery wings. Aranga apprenticed herself to older skydancer who taught her the art of sewing together wings from dropped or lost feathers found around the broken pillars. The wings would then be sold or affixed (at an extra charge) to dragons who wish to accent they're already present plumage or create new plumage entirely. Arange enjoyed her new profession, but always longed for something more.

The Traveling Singer: One day Arange decided to go into the main market to browse the many colorful wares present there, and came upon a traveling performer. After watching his show in its entirety, Aranga realized with some shock that the pearlcatcher was her charge. After announcing her devotion to the singer, named Augustus, Aranga packed up her things and started her new life of travel.

Settling Down: After Augustus's grievous injury resulting in the end of their days of travel, Aranga found herself surprisingly content within the Clan of the Shaded Wood. She regularly visits the clan painter Thrud, having illustrious designs painted across her scales at all times, occasionally changing the design to fit her mood. She also helps serve her clan by harkening back to her old profession- weaving wings. Many skydancers within the clan go to her in touching up their own feathered plumage or even increasing it. Aranga has made many friends in the clan as a result, often trading gossip and going back to Augustus to tell him all about the latest juicy story.
