Shawna

Wet clay burbled and oozed between her toes as Shawna pushed a front foot firmly into the gray, earthy paste. Scooping up some of the mulch, she smeared it over the clay vase she was currently sculpting. She rubbed it smooth until the fresh coating was seamlessly blended with the rest of the surface.

Behind her, a small fire sparked and crackled, the cherry coals warming another clay pot balanced in the flames. Reducing within was a pulpy mix of sap and wild plants, along with stewing chunks of meat. The aroma of the simmering stew permeated the rest of Shawna's cavern.

Tucked into the low side of a mountain, the cave was littered with various skulls, feathers, and bones of small prey, woven into intricate necklaces and talismans, sat side by side with various potteries and ceramics. Three bird skulls clinked against one another around Shawna's neck as she moved. Some in the area believed her a witch, and while she could mix leaves and herbs into a polyjuice to cure poisons or take the sting from wounds, the truth was she simply loved to craft, and kept to herself to enjoy the silence and peace of her work.
