Doran

Doran means "wanderer" or "stranger" in Gaelic and that describes Doran to a tee. Even as a young hatchling he often left his territory, compelled by his curious Wind-born spirit to explore. Sometimes he wishes he were an Imperial or a Spiral or another species that could fly faster and farther than he can; he even altered his wings to try and accomplish this feat. He visited all eleven territories by his adulthood, and eventually settled in the Arcane Territory. Even to this day Doran isn't quite sure why he picked this territory, but he says he was inwardly drawn to it (many dragons often say this about the Arcane territory). In his adulthood he still has his hatchling curiosity and is more likely to be found away from the lair. He doesn't talk a lot despite the Wind territory's reputation for being flighty and social; Doran says that after traveling around so much, he rarely finds situations where speaking would be necessary.
In his adolescence years, while traveling through the Water Territory, he discovered a lone Steam Gyre. It was rather curious for a Gyre, and Doran began to notice that it followed him out of the Water Territory. The Steam Gyre almost never talked, but it did tell Doran that its name was Vapor. Doran doesn't talk about Vapor much, but even he is a bit confused as to why Vapor follows him to this day.
