PERSONALITY:
Nepthys is still in denial over the loss of her first mate. She is old, and alone, and crippled by her inability to move forwards. She often spaces out, lost in the past, or abruptly changes the subject of a conversation. She has lost too many dear to her heart, and she lives in constant fear that everyone will leave her in the end. As a result, she blocks people off and forces herself to forget them after they leave. She is oddly direct for a Water Flight dragon, but only because she figures people will leave her alone if she spits out the truth as quickly as possible; maybe then they will let her run off again.

HISTORY:
The founder of the clan, Nepthys left home according to one of the Tidelord's prophecies about a surge of new clans (the March 2014 FR registration window). She originally founded the clan with a male Tundra named Shu who was young, pretty, and kind. They gathered dragons from all over and resided along Tsunami Flats. She was never the best at leading due to her feral Mirror nature, leaving Shu to pick up a lot of slack.

When Shu was killed fending off a particularly nasty Shadow Serpent, Nepthys resigned as leader to let a popular and charismatic couple take her place. She withdrew into herself and often left to go hunt alone until she spotted Set and immediately was reminded of Shu. She clung to him, and Shu's memory in an unhealthy desperation. Time lost meaning during this time, and Nepthys was completely unaware of the state of her clan. Her world revolved around her mate.

She was wrecked once more when she discovered Anuket's death. The Imperial had been one of the very few original clan members left. Then-king Horus tried to hide it from her in a misguided attempt to spare her the pain, but her son Anubis told her nonetheless. One of her daughters was later named after Anuket, not that Nepthys knew. With each of her children who died Nepthys retreated more and more into herself. She detatched herself from her friends and family.

Fed up with playing nursemaid to a crazy old Mirror, Nepthys' second mate left the clan. With this loss, Nepthys lost everything. She recognizes noone, not even Backahast despite him having been in the clan since the very beginning.
CURRENT PLOTS:
Nepthys can barely communicate in words. She's a broken dragon, only kept alive out of pity and sentimentality. Shattered as she is, she remains the clan's founder. Her granddaughter leads the clan, and Satet will not let her granddam fall.

art notes: I interpret her accent more as showing variation in her primary gene's appearance rather than the intended bark-texture. So, the dark blue stripes of the Flaxen Lionfish connect to a broadly dark blue back, and the dark blue stripes extend up her wing-arm. The light blue 'sprouts' on the wing from the accent could either be vein-like or omitted.
