Erebus

Clan father doesn't really give a s**t as long as you a) don't make a mess b) clean up your mess if you do make one c) don't yell a lot d) take the roughhousing outside. He just wants some peace and quiet and that's not too much to ask, isn't it, since he bloody well sired most of you? Or your parents, or whatever? Eh? (I mean, except for the ones he didn't, which is much of the clan's population, but w/e).

He's also insanely small for a dragon and for the clan father. Nobody's allowed to make fun of his size, though, because he'll ground them. Really, it doesn't make any sense at all how small he is. Except I guess fae are naturally small but seriously. Could something that small really be called a dragon? More like a flying lizard or something? Whatever.

His best friend is apparently a bear which is never not on fire. The bear has been like that all his life and is very well adjusted. The two of them get along famously. The bear's name is Blowhard and will maul/burn the s**t out of anyone who makes too much noise/makes a mess/makes fun of Erebus's size, seeing as how Erebus is too frigging tiny to do much of any rule-enforcement himself. I mean not that he really needs to that often, he's generally a nice Clan Father and people respect him and his wishes. Blowhard is nicknamed so (gasp, what's his real name? it is a mystery) because he can usually get people to calm down and stop fighting or destroying the lair or whatever they're doing he wants them to stop, just by yelling at them. This bear can yell pretty loud because Erebus amplifies his voice with magic (the bear can also talk, did I mention this? I guess it was assumed, because it's required to get from there to yelling).

Erebus keeps the peace and settles disputes, and he maintains most of the clan's magical defenses by himself; Thinkdrink and a few others take up the rest. He doesn't usually leave the caves except for a few secluded beaches, but he can telepathically "hear" other dragons for vast distances and his clan charges can summon him from anywhere just by speaking his name.

Erebus is technically also the land of the dead, but only for the ancient Greeks, so it's fine. Clan father doesn't mind that much anyway because the core principle of ancient Greek religion was eternal and total ignorance about everything. To them the land of the dead wasn't hugely different from the land of the living (the main difference being there were dead people there instead of alive people), thus making the whole thing moot.
