Anael

Anael is the Knight Commander of Magen Rishon, having earned the title for her fierce fighting ability. She's a rough, physical fighter, cleaving through enemies with her sword or claws. When she's on a mission, no one dares to get in her way. They all know what she's capable, as she was one of the Seven who drove Lucifer away from old clan when he attacked. To this day, her knights remain vigilant against his threat, patrolling the inner walls of the kingdom as well as the outside grasslands for anything out of the ordinary.

When it comes to diplomatic affairs, Anael is, sadly, the last dragon the kingdom should send. Though she knows how to speak her mind, such a trait is often frowned upon when it comes to politics. A knight with a twitchy sword hand isn't the idol Magen Rishon needs, and Anael knows it. She leaves the dealings with the beast and dragon clans to other, silver-tongued individuals, such as Gadreel and Aurelius, even if she was wary of them at first. The two proved themselves worthy and loyal, over time. Anael judges a person based on their character alone. Rumors and status mean nothing in the face of action.

However, she's not all bite. Occasionally one can find her out of armor and roaming the castle halls for a bit of entertainment. She might not warm up to strangers well, but once she knows someone, she'll talk their ears off. If they have ears, that is. Due to her line of work, she quickly becomes the mother hen of a group, making sure everyone's in line and not trying anything too off-the-wall. Her verbal reprimands are blunt but no less caring. She wants only the best for her small friend group and the citizens of Magen Rishon. Yes, even the annoying ones.

She's concerned for her advisor, Nathaniel. They've fought beside one another for years, decimating shade-possessed creatures that threatened them and others. Yet, recently, Nathaniel has grown morose. So much so that Anael fears he will soon leave the garrison, soon stop giving her his genius battle strategies, all because of the melancholy clouding his mind. She wouldn't blame him if he did so. He was heavily wounded by Lucifer before his Serthis companion, Nagendra, came to his rescue. But she does fear for his well-being. No one should have to suffer alone, yet that's what he appears to be doing. Her pleas to find help fall on deaf ears. She prays he will find someone to pull him from the edge before it's too late.
