Clan Starscythe began with a pair of Mirrors born too close to the Starwood Strand to truly be plague, and too close to the Wandering Contagion to truly leave their land of their origins behind.

Gahiji, of the two, is far more Arcane than Plagueish in nature. Running with the pack is something he was born for, but so, too, is the way he falls behind, always searching for his next subject of study. Though he is one of Starscythe's two founders, he is less involved in the leadership of the clan than one would expect - his research and discoveries, hard-won as they are, are a much more reliable sign of his influence than his actual presence. One must seek him out to speak to him, and good luck with that - he's as likely to be tending the clan's eclectic collection of scrolls that serves as a library as he is to be doing experiments in their many field labs, and he's even more likely than that to be doing work in the field.

Still, to those members who seek him out, he is a fine spiritual and emotional counsel, offering comfort in all the marvelous things he's learned about Sornieth's workings, and the connection of one's own body to it. His dry humor and utter lack of self-preservation have carried his clanmates through many trials, and will carry them through many more, even if he doesn't hold the same martial prowess and leadership that his beloved mate does.

He often goes on journeys to the nearby Plague Clan Ge-Rouge to speak with Samedi, the leader; the two clans have kept up a healthy diplomatic relationship since their near-simultaneous founding, and those connections show no sign of waning. When Gahiji lost his right leg on an excursion to the Wandering Contagion, it was Samedi that brought him back to the safety of the Strand.
