Nyx

Many would never take a dragon like Nyx in. She was born with a disease that turned her into a Blood Butterfly, or a Blooderfly, a dragon that needed to drink blood to survive. Because of what she was born with, she is considered to be a threat in many flights. Fortunately, her parents found a safe place to stay to have hatchlings like her. She would have stayed with them in the safety of the clan, but once she came of age she begun the journey all Guardian dragons must take, The Search.

She traveled away from home, but made sure to be careful of which flight she entered. She mostly traveled from the Starfall Isles to the Sunbeam Ruins, making sure to hit up the Scarred Wasteland and The Tangled Wood. Though she was on The Search, she wanted to know more about her disease and the Blood Butterflies. On her travels, she discovered the Black Blood Market, where she got her recipes and cookbooks. She was fascinated by the art of cooking and the Blood Butterfly recipes, and thus started to become proud of what she was, despite knowing her disease made her a blight in the eyes of many.

She then knew that her charge would be the art of blood cooking. Blood Butterflies and their culture were in danger of being eradicated, and thus if the art of Blood Butterfly cuisine was ever threatened, she would try her hardest to preserve it.

She soon traveled back to the Starfall Isles. She was homesick, and missed the crystalline peaks and the streaks of magic that flew across the land, but she wondered if she wanted to return to her original clan where her parents resided. On her way back though, she was caught by a particularly creepy jester from the Ice Flight that considered sending her to the Icewarden's prison. It was a stroke of luck that the leaders of the Arcane clan that housed the jester welcomed her in instead of sending her off to imprisonment. They wanted to study her disease, and learn more about her. She didn't like it at first, until the leaders decided that two bizarre criminal scientists, Pavica and Samuel, should look into the Blood Butterflies.

Pavica immediately took interest in Nyx, as Pavica also enjoyed blood. Despite Pavica not being a Blood Butterfly, Nyx was happy to have found another dragon that accepted her with enthusiasm and even shared her interests. It wasn't long before Pavica asked Nyx out on a date, and the two were a couple ever since.

Samuel on the other hand was a bit of a handful. The creepy pearlcatcher was keen on catching Nyx's disease, and asked her to suck his blood. Come to find out, Samuel's blood was the most disgusting Arcane blood Nyx had ever tasted. Even Pavica's blood tasted better....and she was a plague dragon!

Regardless...Nyx was happy where she ended up, despite the weird friends she made. Nyx still travels to the Black Blood Market ever couple months. It still pains her that she can't bring Pavica, for she knew Pavica would have loved the Black Blood Market, but to keep the market safe Nyx knew to never bring anyone who wasn't a Blood Butterfly.
