If Zyphira is a darting kite then Swath is the string that keeps her connected to the ground. He is logical and endlessly patient, ever willing to sort out disputes and deal with the more hard and difficult work. Where Zyphira is flighty and irrational Swath is steady and calm.

Swath is the kind that is easy to loose in a crowd. He blends, willingly, enjoying the quiet passiveness and pride that naturally belongs to members of a group. He is not a leader. He is a sheep, just another face in the crowd. Yet somehow he is in charge, somehow he has found himself at the side of a dragoness who is his polar opposite, leading a clan. Dragons respect him, they listen to him.

It somewhat bewilders him, how a dragon like himself ended up somewhere important. He guesses that he has Zyphira to thank, in part. The rest he must have done by himself, but honestly he isn't sure what he did or how he did it. Just lucky, he guesses. He just accepts it and does his best, just as he does with everything else.
