Tiger Strongheart

Tiger's whole life is Makina, and always has been. He hatched in the nest next to hers, and they started a clan together. While Makina did most of the outward work of ruling, it was Tiger behind every decision. When Makina collapsed from the exhaustion of ruling, a task which she had never been suited for, it was Tiger who covered up for her, and cared for her in secret, as she requested. After several years of ruling, Tiger convinced her it was high time for a vacation. They handed over their rule to Maximus, their son, and set off, traveling around the world.
After many, many years, they decided to return. Upon reaching the site of the clan, thye were horrified to discover it was gone. Luckily, Makina's Leafy Moth found them, and showed them the way to the clan's current location in the Cloudscape Crags.

Tiger was simply happy to be home, but Makina was appalled. She stormed through the clan, despite Tiger's protests, and challenged Ghiaccia, the clan's current leader. Tiger, meanwhile, seeing that his protests were useless, went and visited the clan's library, which was happily much bigger than he recalled. There, he made friends with Alran, Ghiaccia's Ward.

The fight went through. Makina lost. Ghiaccia would have exiled Makina on the spot, but Alran convinced her not too, as he wished to continue his friendship with Tiger. Makina and Tiger were instead put in a low position in the clan. After countless generations of Makina's silently stewing anger, the Obelisks arose and Hoarfrost reunited the struggling clan by force. With leadership relinquished to Tiger and Makina's granddaughter, Tiger and his mate retired to the Hibernal den, to let the descendants of their once beloved clan live out in peace.

Old Lore

With the division of clan into separate compounds, Tiger and Makina rule in their own way over a small portion of the clan's population. These few dragons and their offspring, though still technically under Ghiccia's domain, give the former king and queen a sense of independence. Though Makina still complains bitterly about the cold, especially in her new Coatl's form, Tiger has grown to enjoy his new life here in the mountainous reaches of the Icewarden's land. It will never be his birthhome. But in his new Wildclaw's body, with lithe form and strong claws, Tiger feels, finally, himself once again.

[img]Former bio: Tiger is the king of Wind's Rest, although he does not like to be called that. Like his mate Makina, he wears a Peacekeeping Headband, to show that although his mate is ruler, and they have the final word, this is not a complete monarchy. Him, Makina, and their son and heir Maximus, all wear Highnoon Hanks to show that they are the leaders when visitors come to the lair. (Maximus's mate Sheik wears a Birdskull Necklace, as she was not born to this lair) He is very quiet and quite a reader, and is most often found in the library, although his mate Makina sometimes drags him out to fly around the Steppes. His one great wish is to achieve the loyalty of a familiar. Perhaps he will get one soon! Tiger only barley knew his parents or nest-mates, as the time when he was hatched was a time of chaotic war among the clans. His entire lair was obliterated, and him and Makina where the only survivors, because they had snuck out in the middle of the night, even though no younglings were allowed outside the lair. Tiger has received a familiar! A Livewire Grizzly named Sissel. Tiger adores him, and the way Sissel follows him everywhere probably doesn't help. Tiger is horrified by the talk of war in the lair, but he is so small, he can't find anything to do! So instead, Tiger will go on a journey to find another lair to ask for help. Sissel will be his guard along the way. Tiger has returned. In his journeys, he happened to run into Makina's brother! He told him about the situation, and he told Tiger that he would be happy to take Yaakova into his lair when he returned from guarding his ward. Satisfied, Tiger returned to the lair. In the new village, Makina and Tiger live in the largest, fanciest building, right in the center of the Wind's Rest, as is their right as King and Queen. A little Ridgeback youngling, the first ever to be seen in the lair, has come to live in Wind's Rest, and Makina and Tiger themselves are raising her.
