Riddle Me This RP - during 2017 Gala

Frazil had sensed several minds inside the cabin, most of which were there against their will. He'd meant to get close enough to learn more before he went to the lair for help. But before he knew what had happened that odd Nocturne had pushed him into this room and now he was one of the captives he'd meant to rescue. Only his first week in the new clan and already trouble had found him. Well, might as well make the best of a bad situation....Frazil closed his eyes and reached out with his perception to see who here was amenable to friendship.

Frazil smiled to himself. During his youth he had often been teased for being a bookwyrm, but clearly it was paying off. The first two riddles where straight out of the pages of Ritorble's Ridiculously Large Omnibus of Riddles and Word Shenanigans.

Frazil hums quietly to himself, this one is much trickier, that's what he gets for being cocky. Now to think, what could it be? He starts making a mental list of things that change color.

Frazil discreetly lifts his wing and takes a sniff. Yup, it's as he expected musty wingpit stink. The lack of facilities here is just dreadful. Carefully he steps over tails and feet, mumbling apologies to those he unintentionally steps on.

At the door he knocks firmly. As politely as possible he shouts, "Excuse me but could we get some toiletries?" Just then his stomach let forth with a grating rumble. "Or perhaps a bite to eat?"

Attention travelers and merchants: -OP qwigoqwaga

A pale Skydancer peaks his head around the corner, "Hello? Oh, hello there! I'm Frazil, I heard you were collecting books? I used to be quiet the bookwyrm when I was younger. I think this is such a lovely idea. My mate and I recently had our first hatchling and he, well, he um, he's been a little bitey lately." Frazil rather shamefacedly holds out a large book, the top corner of the cover is gone and there are tiny tooth marks tattooing the rest of the leather bound tome. "I thought this might be safer with you. The pages are all fine and he didn't touch the binding." He sets it down before you.

Upon closer inspection you see that the title embossed on the cover, Ritorble's Ridiculously Large Omnibus of Riddles and Word Shenanigans. A quick perusal of the pages reveals a huge collection of riddles, a smaller chapter on word play and puns, several hundred pages of the authors observations and opinions on riddles, puns and double entendres, and strangely the final section appears to be a romantic novella whose protagonist is named Bitorble.

"I really am sorry for the damage, little ones you know. We're cleaning out our lair to make room for more hatchlings, my mate was very disappointed that our first clutch was only one and wants more soon. If I find any more of my old books I'll bring them by. Oh, I wanted to ask, is this a public library? I do still enjoy reading and I might need some quiet time to myself once the lair gets more crowded."

Myria holds the book gently, avoiding touching the large bite mark in the corner. "That's alright," said Myria, inspecting the book and finding it still readable.
"Thank you. If you do come across any more old books, please do bring them. This will be a public library, and we've finally begun building the actual room for it," she answered, puffing her crests out proudly, "You're welcome to stop by any time!"
