The former ruler, in his infinite wisdom, hired her to purge the land of what the former inhabitants had created. Orders were orders, and shade had crept into the land and seethed with ancient hate. Hate she must purge.

But something was wrong. The more she found, the more prominent the presence was that she was summoned to handle in the first place. One by one, the rulers fell and were replaced with hideous doppelgangers of which she'd never seen before. Monsters, old and powerful. Her support waned until finally she was left on her own, with only her paladins and intuition to guide them to the truth. It was almost frightening.

But now that it was all over, when the fear had been banished and peace was restored, she allowed herself to rest. Through it all, she found care and company in the form of Lynx Lynastra, her beloved mate, and the five perfect hatchlings they bore together. Now, finally content, she has given up the battlefield in exchange for a warm home and a loving family.
