Biography

Clan Patriarch

Deshlei was adopted, oddly enough, into a Nature Clan at a very young age. A pair of Arcane Dragons had left him at the edge of the Clan's territory, with no explanation as to why they were doing so. They didn't say a word to anyone as they deposited the hatchling and flew off. A scout for the Clan found the wailing dragonling and took him back to the lair, where he was fed and cared for as he grew.

However, Deshlei never felt quite at home in the domain of the Nature Dragons. Having an innate weakness to his adoptive family's innate Element, he never felt truly comfortable around them. Once he was able to fly and hunt for himself, he bid the Clan farewell and left.

Shortly after, he came upon a lair in the realm of the Arcanist; the lair was empty save a single young Mirror female, just a bit younger than himself. Intruigued and impressed she could keep a lair in order by herself for her age, he stopped and talked with her for a bit. The Mirror introduced herself as Shair and explained she'd been alone since hatching. Feeling a kinship to the other Mirror, he decided he'd found his new home and settled in.

Some time later, a pair of Ice Dragons arrived. While Deshlei enjoyed Shair's company and thought highly of her, neither had shared a deeper interest in the other. Thus, when Shair ended up pairing with Darron, the male Wildclaw, Deshlei had no hard feelings. Especially so, since he himself was enamored by the Spiral female Talia; the two of them paired and shared a nest almost immediately after Shair and Darron's brood had been clutched.

Even though he isn't Shair's mate, he is still regarded by all the Clan as the patriarch, thanks to his relationship with Shair before Darron and Talia arrived at the lair.
