Biography
My very first guy and he is a beaut~
Dirge is somewhat your typical savage, fidgety and cunning Mirror. He's often quiet, preferring action to word, but might chat with Jewel at times. He and Jewel have an interesting relationship, somewhere between friendship and being mates. Dirge sees Jewel as a bit more special than the other females, though still will breed with the others as survival has taught him to do. He's not nearly as high strung as other Mirrors, able to keep still for a little longer than most, which does him well in his clan made up mostly of non-Mirror dragons. Still, he'll go for a run to get off excess energy and to have a few bites to eat on his own, sometimes Jewel following after him. Voidwalker may also join, which eases his Mirror instinct to hunt in a pack of a handful rather than himself. Three is suitable for a small jaunt and a couple of snacks. While not entirely used to the clan life, he's quickly able to adjust, helped by his calmer demeanor and willingness to listen (especially to Jewel). He recognizes the clan as a sort of mishmashed pack and he's able to tolerate it with at least one other mirror within it and the clan's willingness to comply with his strong specific instincts for hunting, traveling and so forth.
Still fairly primal minded, Dirge slowly learns more non-Mirror ways and various book smarts over time. He's quickly (for a Mirror) smartening up to better cooperate with his haphazardly specied clan (as he thinks of it), being here to stay. Though, he does hope for a few more of his own brethren to join soon, to help smooth his hackles so to speak.
Dirge isn't the most serious dragon, taking everything in stride and not stressing about much. He simply thinks of what needs to be done and does it with little to no emotion. At most, he tends to experience inquisitiveness, confusion, some tidbits of pleasure at success or things that other dragons don't seem to understand, and discomfort when he needs to hunt or move more than the other dragons are comfortable with. He's rarely surprised, even in ambushes during hunts, simply serving as a goal-minded leader of the hunt for whoever happens to be with him at the time, giving them focus and being an example of what to do in situations.
Jewel serves as a temper for his more savage tendencies, also explaining to him the thoughts and feelings other dragons have and putting it in such ways that he's able to somewhat comprehend. He's at least able to do or avoid actions that ease any tensions of the other dragons and learns how to better understand the others. Jewel is a great help in this, definitely the spark to his process, because of her ability to see things the way others do and being able to translate that across between individual dragons.
