Biography

Astureon
Astureon is a daughter of Screechfang and Skytail who has devoted her life to being a warrior. She has trained since she was young to protect her clan, and is now a fierce and dedicated beast of the battlefield. She has had her twin sister, Pasgen, by her side for her entire life, and while they are both fierce adversaries on their own, they make for an unstoppable force when they’re together.

The biggest difference between Astureon and her twin is that when they were young and in training, Astureon was wise enough to know her limits, to know when to step back and take a break and spend time away from thoughts of war and violence. Pasgen, meanwhile, dove headfirst into warmongering, and has never taken time away from fighting and training. This difference in their training has given them two very different outlooks. Pasgen is a bestial and frenzied barbarian who can’t process the idea of a life beyond the battle, and Astureon is a more calm and mature soldier who knows when to call it quits, when to make a tactical retreat, when to take time to breathe. Pasgen almost entirely relies on Astureon in social contexts, and Astureon allows it because she blames herself for not forcing Pasgen to relax when they were training.

Astureon isn’t the most intelligent dragon, but she’s a good strategist. Before Stelt was appointed to the position of the clan’s strategist, Astureon excelled in coming up with her own strategies for when she and Pasgen were on the battlefield. She’s good at picking up on minuscule details which can be exploited to secure a victory. In another life, she might have made an excellent commander for the Stormcatcher’s armies.

But she didn’t choose that life. She chose the life of a protector, determined to protect her clan and her family to the end. Much like her father, Astureon considers the two to be synonymous, to be one and the same. She will never be afraid to draw her blade to protect either.
