All Cleo knows about Ciro is that he used to be a lone wolf that lived by himself in the Tangled Wood. He saved her from a hungry pack of Umbra Wolves and followed her from then on in order to keep her safe. He seems to know the Tangled Wood quite well.

BIOGRAPHY
*This dragon does not follow Flight Rising breed lore!*

No one in the clan knows exactly where Cleo came from. Her egg was found near the Clan Destiny den one day, and the leaders - Forge and Makara - grew attached to it in the wake of their offsprings’ exaltation.
After her hatching, Cleo was treated like the pair’s daughter, but she noticed that she did not fit in among the beautifully gened dragons of her clan. She was brutally teased among her peers for her bare coat when she was a hatchling, and as a result, only trusted her true self with a select few dragons.
As a young adult, Cleo took to wandering around the clan’s territory, and stumbled upon a mystical place: the Hewn City. There, she discovered another nocturne called Pyrrhos hiding in the ruins. When she approached him, she found that they were strikingly similar. Finally, she had found someone to relate to. They spent the rest of the day playing with each other, and after he joined the clan, he became Cleo’s brother.

Beginnings

Cleo was alone. The beasts had finally left her.

Shaking, the nocturne tentatively stepped out from underneath a leafy plant and took in the strange sight before her. After struggling to regain control of her racing heart and harsh breathing, she realized then that she wasn’t anywhere near her Clan’s boundaries. The misty purple beasts that had chased her here had been different from the creatures that usually roamed the Lightweaver’s domain. She recalled stories that her adoptive father, Forge had told her about the different types of creatures of the Beastclans. She wondered if they had been a pack of Umbra wolves.

Soon, Cleo became aware of a strange light in the corner of her eye. She noticed a cluster of softly glowing mushrooms growing at the foot of a tall, thorn-ridden tree. Curiosity willed her to walk towards the cluster of plants and she watched the tiny moths slowly fluttering around the blue light. A soft wind blew gently from another direction, beckoning her, wanting to be followed. She reluctantly left the mushrooms and allowed herself to be guided through the thick trees. A clearing soon came into view, filled with more glowing plants. Cleo wanted to avoid it, her instincts telling her to avoid being out in the open. She continued onwards despite her better judgement. The sounds of the forest were eerie, playing upon her imagination. The amount of moving light didn't help, causing her to conjure up images of blank eyes staring at her in the purple darkness.

Suddenly, the once-lightly flowing breeze blasted harshly against her face, the deafening noise of the wind scaring her senseless. The nocturne reared back on her hind legs and ran into the cold depths of the forest. When she finally slowed down again, she began to shiver. She was somehow right back where she started. Curling her tail around her body did little to provide herself with warmth. Growing exhausted, she went for a cluster of bramble bushes and burrowed herself into them. Cleo might have been young, but she knew that this painful plant was her only hope for survival. She was but a cold, scared dragon traveling by herself in the middle of the Tangled Woods, but she would make sure that she remained alive. Her pale green eyes slipped closed, oblivious to the approaching steps on the path outside her temporary nest while she slept.

Riddle Me This

Cleo was jolted awake not a minute later by a group of dragons loudly speaking to each other next to the bushes where she was hiding. Luckily, none of them had noticed her presence so far. She peered at them through the safety of the prickly branches.
She was startled when a pale green foot suddenly jabbed into her side, ruining her plan of staying silent and observing the group’s every action. Cleo snapped at the invading limb, causing the other dragon to cry out, remove her foot, and back away from the bush. The rest of the group grew quiet, leaving only the strange noises of the Tangled Wood.
Cleo was hyper-aware of her heart beating much faster than normal as she fought to control her breathing. Her eyes widened as a purple muzzle sniffed at the spot where the pale green dragon’s foot had once been. It let out a puff of air and soon withdrew itself, making Cleo let out a breath. Her relief was short-lived upon finding large, pale green eyes staring back at her once she checked the spot again. Out of surprise and fear, she snarled aggressively at the Fae.
"Sorry to intrude, littlun." Cleo rolled her eyes and huffed at her words. I'm not little!

Another dragon, a Mirror male, began to speak to the green Fae. "Another one, really? You find two hatchlings in the Tangled Wood, of all places? What in Earthshaker's name." Cleo was just plain confused at this point. I think he just called me a hatchling...

"Perhaps I can coax her out." The soft voice came from another female Fae, this one a very pale gray. Cleo narrowed her eyes as the Fae knelt down in front of her and began to speak to her. Maybe I can ask them how to get out of this place? She had an answer for herself even before she started moving. No. In order to do things my way, I need to do them by myself. After all, this is how I've always done things.
She slowly backed away from the voice and was nearly out of the bush when a loud popping noise caused her to jump back. Her head whipped upwards fast enough to catch a glimpse of the pale green Fae disappearing in a shower of purple light. Cleo ran, ignoring the calls of the group of dragons behind her and the imminent danger she was in.
Once she felt that she was a safe distance away, Cleo realized that she was in an entirely different area of the forest. She slowed down and paused to look around, catching her breath. The darkness had lifted a little, but not by much. There was enough light to see the all-too-familiar shape floating behind her. She growled and took off running again, and the Umbra wolf let out a ghastly howl. As she ran, Cleo was aware of at least a dozen of glowing white eyes surrounding her. It seemed as if a whole pack was chasing her. Am I going to die now?
Another howl, this time from her front, made her skid to a stop. Movement at the top of a bramble made her look upwards. She wished she hadn't. A massive wolf appeared, his green eyes flashing in the dim light. Green mist swirled around him, visible only in the darkness due to the light of the moon through the brambles. I'm definitely going to die now.
But, the Gale wolf wasn't looking at her. She turned her head to the Umbra wolves growling behind her and saw their leader standing right behind her. As he closed in, the Gale wolf leapt over her, right on top of the Umbra. The two fought, teeth snapping, and Cleo seized this opportunity and ran.
She was soon trailed by the green wolf, who had no trouble keeping up with her. More howls rang out through the forest, and Cleo allowed the Gale wolf to take the lead. He seemed to know the forest well, which was an advantage that Cleo didn't have. The wolf suddenly made a sharp turn, leading her through what seemed to be a tunnel of brambles.
At the end of the tunnel stood a massive slab of stone. Pacing in front of the stone was the oddest creature that Cleo had ever encountered before. It resembled a cat and a Coatl, but had wings. The Gale wolf beside her growled as the creature began to speak.
“Greetings. I hope you haven’t run into any trouble along your way. I am Panos, Warden of the Way and Reciter of Riddles. Through there lies the quickest path to what you seek. If you are clever enough to answer my puzzle, I will let you pass unharmed. If you are not, you will be forced back into the Bramble to forge your own way around. So, I pose this question to you: What has not fur, nor scale, nor feather, nor bone. Yet still has thumbs and fingers of their own?”
He's...joking, right? I suck at riddles. Cleo rolled her head back in annoyance and groaned. I don't have time for this. Those Umbra wolves will tear us apart out there. We can't go back. So, I need to solve this stupid riddle or we’ll both die.
“What doesn't have fur, scales, feathers, or bones, but still has thumbs and fin-” Cleo stopped, running every possibility of what the answer could be. She looked to the wolf, who had sat down and was currently scratching himself with his hind leg.
“Some help you are…” She said to the wolf, who glanced at her before pressing his nose against her leg. Smiling, she reached out to pet him. She drew her claws back, shivering at the mist’s low temperature.
“You're freezing cold, wolf. Am I going to need gloves to pet you, or what? Wait a second...gloves...” Cleo looked back at Panos.
“I have your answer. Gloves. The answer is a pair of gloves, isn't it?”

Hunted

"It is indeed, child, though you could be a little more confident in your answers. Otherwise, you might have trouble on the path ahead." Grinning, Panos dragged his claws down the wall, which caused it to divide before them. "Now on with you. You've some catching up to do."
The sphinx gave her an unsettling feeling that she couldn't shake off. It felt like he knew something that she didn't and that made her angry. She snarled at Panos silently before following the Gale wolf through the passageway. As soon as the two went through the doors, they creaked loudly and then slammed shut with a huge bang. Cleo sighed loudly, briefly scoured the land for any threats, and then began walking down the path after the wolf.
“He must really love getting visitors...” She remarked sarcastically to him. For the first time since Cleo had arrived in the Tangled Wood, there was no immediate danger to face. It was just her and the wolf. “This might take longer than I originally thought...” Suddenly, something occurred to her.
“Hey, if you're going to stay with me, you're gonna need a name.” She assessed his wispy form, noticing the vapors that trailed behind him as he trotted in front of her. “Alright, I'm considered to be reasonably good at naming things. The other dragons back home let me and my best friend, Pyrrhos, name most of their familiars after all. So, wolf, how do you feel about…Breeze?” The wolf’s ears twitched passively and he growled at her softly. “No? Okay then…Wind?” This time, he wrinkled his nose before opening his jaws into a yawn.
“Hmm, if you're going to be my familiar, you're gonna need the best name ever. One with style and meaning. How about...Ciro?” This time, the wolf stopped in his tracks. He turned his head around to look at her before licking her square on the nose. “Yuck! That's disgusting! Okay, I guess you like that one then. Ciro it is.” She wiped the drool from her face while she watched his tail wave from side to side like a banner in the wind.

Despite the trail being soft and green, the surrounding environment was the complete opposite. This forest made no sense to her, and Cleo hated it. The space between the brambles outside of the path was so narrow that she was certain that she would not have enough room to get her head through. Therefore, she kept to the path and continued to follow Ciro.
A while later, she began to feel that they were being watched. The air around them grew colder as Ciro became wary. She knew that if something was out there, Ciro would be her best bet at locating it. Cleo sniffed the air, and she caught a glimpse of a pair of purple eyes through the brush. The reflective objects multiplied with each frightened breath she let out, and soon there were almost as many wolves as when she and Ciro were chased before going through the gate.
Dark purple blurs caught her attention as they darted directly out in front of her. She had barely enough time to turn her head before they were gone again. Growls emanated from the pack surrounding them and Ciro grew anxious by her side. He was certainly the biggest wolf, but even he couldn't stand up to the hundreds of wolves watching their every move. The rustling sound came again, but this time a wood like snout appeared and a Deadwood boar’s blank eyes appeared from within a bush. It disappeared and Ciro’s growls grew louder when several Umbras blocked the path, watching them. None of them moved for a minute, and then it all suddenly fell to chaos.
