Aid to Toad and heir to a precedence she could only wish for, Kira is the strong arm of the clan's advisement.

Stalking in with canyon dust flaking from her wings, Kira found herself in need of rest. A long pilgrimage took her far and wide in search of her charge, ending in her fall at the foot of the lair where she was nursed back to health. She remained there, enviously eyeing her neighbors who bowed to the slight quiver of a single pearlcatcher's voice. In her jealous huffs, he noticed her brashness quite quickly, finding her aggression and temper useful for maintaining order if nothing else.

But she wanted more - she wanted the power to control with just her presence and call, despite how booming she was already. Impressed by her spark, Toad took her as an aid. She's since become a devoted figure in the clan, her work heavy handed but just. Her ego since inflated and harsh but fairer, kinder in some sense - her desire to find a charge nearly forgotten.

She's since become Toad's mate but finds their work still a competitive race for power, one she'll never win with brute force. She's learning, if a bit slowly and crudely.
