Mariqueen

A young though wise-looking Fae dressed in traditional birdskull attire greets you as you enter the aquatic lair. A lightning sprite hovers near her, encapsuled inside a large air bubble so as to not electrocute her companion dragon or the other water dragons around her. "Oh, welcome! It's so nice to have a visitor here! Please, come in and have a seat while I prepare some potash tea."

You sit on a large, translucent glass chair reminiscent of a crystal jellyfish as she leaves her seat - identical to yours - and heads to the kitchen to prepare tea. The whole lair is beautifully decorated, adorned with furniture and art pieces inspired by the Water flight and the marvelous creatures of the deep. Certain areas have been decorated with a mix of artwork and items you recognize as coming from other flights; you imagine that this must be the work of other dragons that have been adopted here, as a way to keep their native flight close to them.

The brightly-coloured Fae slips back into the room so discreetly you barely notice her. "Lovely decorations we have here, don't you think?" she asks as she hands you a piping-hot cup of potash tea. The cup is decorated to resemble the Tidelord, complete with small horns jutting from the face side. "We've adopted a lot of dragons from other flights, and always insist that they make themselves at home - including decorating the lair their own way." You take a sip of the tea, and comment on how delightfully sweet it is. "Oh, I'm so happy you enjoy the tea! Getting our hands on potash peaches is quite hard, as you can imagine, especially finding the sweetest ones. Salka has quite the talent when it comes to finding them, though! So, tell me, is there anything you'd like to know about our little lair and its inhabitants?" She sits back down on her chair, her tail wrapped around the handle of her teacup.

You ask about the lightning sprite next to her. "Oh, she's a doll, really. Very quiet around strangers, though, as you can tell. She prefers to stay in a bubble like this to avoid electrocuting us, though I honestly don't think she'd be able to harm us very much. Still, it makes her feel more comfortable, so we just roll with it."

You then ask about her, her mate and their bloodline. She takes a big swig of her tea before speaking. "Trent and I have been together since birth! We've been through a lot of hardships, but have always overcome everything together. Though our children have not all stayed with us, we do our best to keep in touch with them all. Some have been sent to work with the deities, others have found a home in a different lair. Our three eldest have always stayed here, though."

You ask to hear more about the eldest of their children, continuing to sip your potash tea as she speaks. "Rasmus is the first of the three who hatched. She's lovely, but she fades in the background a little too much, you know? She doesn't even want to be gened yet. She brought home a mate from the Plague flight, which surprised me since I didn't expect such a sweet little girl to even venture among the Plague lairs. I'm not complaining, though; he treats her better than a lot of other dragons ever would. Sunspots is a feisty one, but somewhat self-conscious because of her Tomato tertiary... She feels it just doesn't fit well with her. It'll take a long time until she becomes comfortable enough with it to allow herself to be gened. She found the love of her life in the Nature flight - and I must say, just from looking at him, you can tell how he caught her eye! She made our human lair leader hunt through the Auction House for hours looking for him, after a friend of hers caught a glimpse of him there. Razorlight has been with us ever since. Kaizer is a great fisherman, but he's not very ambitious at all, which is sad because I see so much potential in him! He ended up settling down with a young, quiet Fae just like him. They compliment each other very well - though, I still wish she'd push him a bit more to go improve his fishing and hunting skills. He usually doesn't do anything until his father drags him along with him to fish. Anyway, I see you've finished your tea, would you like some more?"

You accept her offer for more tea, and ask if you can stay a while to see the other dragons in the lair. "Feel free to do so, darling! We love having visitors here. You can even stay for dinner if you'd like - Aerodynamic is a wonderful cook, I could certainly ask her to whip something up for you! Feel free to come and see me again if you'd like more tea or some snacks."
