He is a guardian of the royal clan, residing by the palace gates, waiting to meet anyone entering. He does not smile, or make any greeting to those passing through. He only watches quietly, eyes following each visitor, never forgetting a face. Rumor has it he fought in the war against the Mad King many years ago, staining the battlefield crimson with the blood of his foes. But he is old, and most were not yet born to witness such grand feats, so they remain only stories. Yet for the ever-diligent dragon that never speaks, stories are always told. Some say he remains there waiting for the Mad King to return and challenge him to a duel. Some say he himself has gone mad with time. The young knight June can often be seen resting by his side and at times training together with him.
On occasion, a dragon may pass through the gates harboring ill intent toward the Noble Matriarch and her clan. He will know. He always knows, but he will not act until he must. It is said when he battles that the sky goes dark, potent with ancient magic. A strange ringing can be heard from afar.
Then a voice, not more than a whisper, cold and low,
"You should not have come here."
