Ghostlight is the clan’s founder, but it is rare for any of the clan to see her, excepting a few of the elders. She stays mostly in the caves beneath the citadel, the partly exposed and partly caved-in catacombs where few else dare to stray. However, she has the strange ability to visit the dreams of those lost or dying, and several clan members claim to have been visited this way. They say that she appeared to them while they were wandering in want of a home, and called them to the ancient tower.
Though she has little contact with her clan, Ghostlight is fiercely protective of it. She was once a guardian, and as strong a fighter as any of that breed. On those few occasions when an attack threatened her clan, she was spotted bone-white and bloody amidst the fray. This fighting instinct, however, faded into something more subtle.
There was a gradual change of her form, from the solid muscle of a Guardian to something lighter and feathered. This did not make her weaker, however, as her magic is stronger than any body could ever be. She has learned to use the natural magic flowing through roots, drawing power from them, or sending her will through them like electricity through a circuit. The roots of the Veridian Labyrinth spread far and deep, and through them, she is capable of many things.
Bloody or not, on the rare chance that sunlight glances across her, she is streaked with red, while moonlight finds her almost colorless.
She has three acknowledged children by her consort Sunglint:
Heartwood, the eldest, is guardian of the Threshold Oak, and has relinquished any claim as heir in her duties to her charge.
Sunrise has gone to the Citadel's allies, the Strange Little Dragon Clan
Ghostwood, the youngest, and her only acknowledged son, is her presumed heir
The others have either gone to serve the gods, or lost contact with the Citadel Clan.
She also has two daughters born of unusual magic, with the aid of Erika of the Strange Clan:
Hexennacht, the Earthbound
MAYDAY, the Chosen, who mothered Nameless and Marut, the only known grandchildren
