Biography

From being a small Guardian, Thorvald has matured into rather a larger one -- who now guards the small ones in his turn. He's quicker-witted than his slow stride and thoughtful silences might suggest on the outside -- especially compared to the manic Mirror who runs the cave.

After Kybele was ''perfected'' (according to Andromeda), for a long time Thorvald was rather insecure about his far plainer appearance. He was good at the guarding, yes, but... how could he compare with her glimmering beauty?

Then Andromeda went off to the marketplace with most of the clan's gem-supply -- and Royal Midnight went flapping off after her in a panic -- and returned with surprises. A potion from the clan's bogsneaks, and... Well, he's not entirely sure how good this new armor is that coats his body, but he can't deny that the scales are going to be useful. And the wings, well... the wings match the scales and he'd never thought he'd be that handsome.

Most Guardians are proud of their beards; Thorvald's proud of his wings.
