An immensely old civilization of elves worships the goddess Runeweaver, whose body rests in a serene glade at the center of their largest city. The elves keep the forests largely untainted by repelling other sentient species that seek it harm. The ancient dragon goddess occasionally whispers prophecy and fragments of knowledge that the eldest of the elves seek to make meaningful. Some say her great slumber is only to bide time and energy, awaiting a powerful and vengeful awakening, to slaughter those who would do her children harm.
