Galland is the most senior priest in Ill Luck Clan. Little is known about him before the Ill Luck Clan moved in to his temple, merging the two communities together. While the focus of the Ill Luck clan is primarily the discovery and rescue of abandoned hatchlings, the priests of Ill Luck Clan have their own agenda.

Galland organizes and oversees the exaltation process to send trained troops off to the Lightweaver, but he also orchestrates a highly organized search for bits of the shattered Pillar. When it exploded, slabs, chunks, and even tiny flakes of the magical pillar were scattered across the known world. The traveling priests - Sutter, Hamilton, Canton, Alexandria, and Nauvoo travel under the direction of Galland to gather these fragments and bring them back to the temple.
