One of Home's associate professors, Netzach is a brilliant Plague-born doctor and engineer. Although he was born to one of the Dark Sclera Clans deep in the Scarred Wasteland, he was exiled as a hatching due to a chronic magical deficiency. Fortunately, Netzach has always had a relentless sense of optimism and an incredibly tenacious nature. An absolute genius, although he grew up in various orphanages and as a result had to struggle to get an education, he quickly emerged as a prodigious force not only in the field of medicine but also in robotics, engineering, physics, and biomechanics. He quickly specialized in neurotechnology and developed a goal of using his wide skill set to design and invent advanced prosthetics using neurotechnology. Likely related to the genetic disorder which causes his chronic magic depletion, as he grew older Netzach was diagnosed with a neuromuscular disorder, which means his skeletal muscles will grow progressively weaker over time. At the time of his diagnosis, Netzach was not yet teaching at Home but operating his own lab in Shadow territory, where he met Cato, a young orphan who reminded him very much of himself. He initially hired Cato as a lab assistant, though the two grew closer as Netzach grew sicker and they soon came to see each other as father and son. The grant money for Netzach's lab was pulled after he was diagnosed, and Netzach and Cato moved to Light territory, where Netzach was hired as one of Home's professors.

A gentle, soft-spoken, and mild-mannered dragon, Netzach is relentlessly optimistic and does not give up easily. Rather informal in personality, most of his students and colleagues refer to him almost exclusively as "Doc." He cares very deeply about helping to make the world a better place, and he can almost always be found in his lab, now located in Home's medical offices. He definitely doesn't mind helping Home's residents out with their everyday sniffles and scuffs and scrapes, but his sights are still firmly set on developing prosthetics that can give dragons like himself with neuromuscular disorders a higher quality of life. Netzach is lucky in that his condition is well managed with his own prototype prostheses and regular magical therapies from Home's other doctors, but he knows that most other dragons will never be so lucky. Even so, he still needs constant help from Cato and the other dragons at Home he's close to, struggling with his fine motor skills and becoming exhausted from even light physical activity. Netzach is well-loved as a professor, known for being very forgiving and slow to assign punishments. Though sometimes irritated by student misbehaviour, he avoids scolding whenever possible and trusts the students in his advanced classes to self-monitor their work. Although his reputation as a kind and patient dragon is well-earned, he tends to become more reckless and impatient in the later stages of projects, often relying on Cato to catch and correct mistakes. He can also be surprisingly manipulative; his ability to think quickly and problem-solve on the fly means that he can be willfully misleading if he thinks it will lead to a better outcome. Generally speaking, though, Netzach is typically a wonderful and encouraging professor, quick to praise others and often assuring that his students get full credit for their successes.

Netzach is a foodie and loves cooking with Cato in his spare time.
Because he finds writing incredibly difficult, his notes are all in the form of audio recorders. This system makes it hard for anyone else to find anything. He jokes his notes now have built-in security.
He adores coffee.
