Was it Rong? Or Rang...?

A pearlcatcher of considerable but uncertain age, Rung arrived on the island as the sole survivor of a shipwreck.

(There were a few short-lived whispers that she survived the storm by clinging to her pearl, but of course, pearls don't float. At least, real ones don't. However anyone bringing up the subject found their questions gently deflected with a bland smile, and it wasn't long before most members of the clan had lost interest; in fact, it was soon all but forgotten that this quiet and easily overlooked dragon was even on the island at all.)

Other than some resigned irritation that nobody can ever get her name right, Rong Rung seems quite used to going unnoticed and is content enough to pass the time buried in the library's scrolls, pursuing her life's work of trying to understand and study the dragon psyche. This is a dragon who seems to subsist mostly on sweets and books.

Perhaps the real reason for her making her home in the Beacon clan, however, is that here she is surrounded by dragons with various... 'interesting' and often traumatic backgrounds. Dragons she can help. Rung is a healer of the mind; any dragon in emotional distress will find themselves approached and offered a private talk and a sympathetic ear. Her ability to help others overcome their problems is well known to her current and former patients, even if her name isn't...
