Ve is one of the three gods of creation and one of the first Aesir gods to exist. He is the youngest brother to Odin and Vili and also known as the God of the seas. All three of them were known for creating the Cosmos by slaying the giant Ymir and using his corpse to create it. This act ended the rule of the giant race and started the rule of the Aesir. When creating the first human with his brothers, Ve gave the gift of expression, speech, hearing and sight. Ve is known to represent numen as his name means 'temple'. This is the personification of sacred objects and the physical external world.
Ve, during Odin's long abscense, had an affair with Frigg and is Baldr's true father.
Being the youngest, Ve was jealous of Odin ruling Asgard and attempted to duel him for the throne. He ended up losing and was stripped of his bronze armor and banished to Helsheim. During Ragnarok, Ve ran away when his brothers were eaten by Fenrir. He was later hunted down and consumed as well.
